1. Africa Screams:
Stanley Livingstone (Lou Costello) is a timid book salesman who has memorized a map from a rare book, which leads to a hidden diamond mine in Africa. Livingstone's friend, Buzz Johnson (Bud Abbott), uses this information to attempt to scam money from explorer Diana Emerson (Hillary Brooke), who is searching for the mine. Emerson decides to take both Livingstone and Johnson up on their offer and the trio begins leading an expedition into the darkest wilds of the African jungle, where adventure and hilarity abound.

2. Angel On My Shoulder:
A recently murdered gangster is sent to Hell where his repeated attempts to escape bring him to the attention of "Nick", the head man. "Nick" offers the gangster an opportunity to get out of Hell if he will take over the body of a judge, who's been sending too many people to Hell, and get him to do some bad things. The gangster takes the offer and, when he inhabits the judge's body, finds that he can't seem to do anything bad and he also falls in love with the judge's fianc?e.

3. Bangville Police, The (Silent):
This Keystone Cops comedy features Mabel Normand as the heroine, a lovely farm girl. The farmer's daughter finds some strangers in the barn and quickly rushes to the house to phone the authorities. Once the call goes out, the local police force make a hilarious and excitement filled dash across the countryside to help the girl.

4. Flying Deuces, The:
On a trip to France, Ollie falls in love with an innkeeper's daughter and asks her to marry him. Georgette (Jean Parker) gently refuses the proposal which makes Ollie wish to commit suicide, with Stan in tow. Before they can make their attempt, they are stopped by Francois (Reginald Gardiner), an officer in the French Foreign Legion. Francois convinces Stan and Ollie to join the Legion to help Ollie forget about Georgette. After enlisting, the duo are assigned to a post in French Morocco and assigned to laundry detail. After giving up on forgetting Georgette and accidentally setting the laundry on fire, Stan and Ollie decide to leave a note of resignation and leave for the airport. At the airport, Ollie runs into Georgette, who turns out to be the wife of their new commanding officer Francois! Captured and sentenced to death for desertion, Stan and Ollie escape from their jail cell and hide out in an airplane. Stan accidentally sends into flight and after a wild and noisy flight, the plane crashes, leading to the film's hilarious climax. Don't miss Stan and Ollie's impromptu soft-shoe rendition of "Shine on Harvest Moon".

5. Great Rupert, The:
A family headed by a faded vaudeville star move into a new apartment prior to the holidays. Thinking their holidays will go by without the usual holiday gifts and cheer because of no money, the family discovers a large amount of cash in their apartment, due to the efforts of Rupert, a squirrel living in their rafters. Having to explain to the authorities where all the money came from threatens to ruin the holidays for the family.

6. Her Painted Hero:
The stage-struck girlfriend of an acting troupe's prop man instantly falls for the group's leading man while walking down the aisle to marry her fianc?. She decides to leave her man at the altar to pursue the actor while also attempting to start a career in show business. Bitter from the rejection, the prop man sabotages their stage performances for revenge.

7. His Girl Friday:
Rosalind Russell plays Hildy Johnson, a star newspaper reporter still working for her ex-husband Walter (Cary Grant) at a major Chicago newspaper. Hildy has told Walter that she is going to marry her insurance salesman fianc? Bruce (Ralph Bellamy). Unfortunately, Walter doesn't want to lose Hildy to Bruce or to lose Hildy as a reporter. Walter wants Hildy to cover a major story about a convicted murderer Earl Williams (John Qualen). Things get complicated when Williams escapes and Hildy and Walter are hiding him in the prison pressroom.

8. His Private Secretary:
John Wayne is Dick Wallace, a spoiled rich man whose father disapproves of his playboy-like ways. His father would rather have him settle down and take a job in his company as manager of collection department. After taking the job to please his father and heading on a trip to make a collection, Wallace falls for the granddaughter of the man he is to collect from, Marion Hall (Evalyn Knapp). Despite his father's objections, Wallace marries the girl. Marion then takes a job as a secretary at the elder Wallace's company to prove him wrong about her and his son's marriage.

9. Inspector General, The:
Danny Kaye stars in this musical comedy about a case of mistaken identity and the poor fool caught in the middle of it. Georgi (Kaye) is an illiterate member of a traveling medicine show who is mistaken by a small Russian village as the Inspector General, a royal official with vast powers. While the local government officials plot to bribe or kill him, Georgi ingrains himself into the public's favor all the while trying to find a way out of his situation.

10. Kid, The:
Charlie Chaplin's first starring role in a feature film was also written and directed by the star himself and took a whole year to make. The Tramp (Chaplin) discovers an abandoned baby and eventually adopts it as his own. Years later, the mother has become famous and begins looking for her son. The Tramp and The Kid (Jackie Coogan) live in the tenements and manage to enjoy their poor but happy life together. Circumstances arise that bring the mother and our duo together for a touching finale.

11. Love Laughs At Andy Hardy:
Mickey Rooney reprises one of his most famous roles in his first film back from serving in World War II. Andy Hardy (Rooney) returns home from the service to his loving family with the intention of going to college, where he meets and falls in love with co-ed Kay Wilson (Bonita Granville). When she decides to wed another man, Hardy is heartbroken and contemplates running to South America to make is fortune. After a talk with his father, Judge Hardy (Lewis Stone), Andy decides to stay and finds his luck changes when he meets another girl, a foreign exchange student from South America.

12. Love, Speed and Thrills (Silent):
This silent classic, from Keystone Studios and directed by Mack Sennett, is considered one of the better Keystone Kops shorts. When his friend Walrus is shot, Ambrose brings him to his house to treat him. Once there, Walrus begins to flirt with Ambrose's wife and eventually runs off with her. Ambrose chases them on horseback and the pursuit is joined by the fabled Keystone Kops where it comes to a climatic ending on a bridge.

13. Medicine Man, The:
This film features the first starring role for legendary comedian Jack Benny in a role completely different from his well know persona. Benny portrays Dr. John Harvey, a traveling medicine show owner and the lead huckster of the group. Dr. Harvey and his show come to a small town where a young woman and her brother live with and work for an abusive father. Dr. Harvey puts aside his greedy nature and takes a genuine interest in the two siblings while falling in love with the young woman. About to be married off by her father to an elderly millionaire, the young woman desperately waits for the arrival of Dr. Harvey to take her from the ceremony.

14. Mr. Wise Guy:
The East End Kids are wrongly convicted of stealing a truck and are sent to reform school. While there, the older brother of Danny (Bobby Jordan) is convicted of a murder he didn't commit and is sentenced to death. Piecing together some evidence, Muggs (Leo Gorcey) and the rest of the East Side Kids uncover the truth about the murder to prove Danny's brother is innocent. The gang must break out of reform school to track down the real killer before the death sentence is carried out.

15. My Dear Secretary:
A best-selling novelist hires a new secretary, an aspiring writer herself, to work for him out of his apartment. He soon discovers she is not your typical secretary and she discovers that he is not the boss she was expecting. Disappointed in his immaturity, she quits her job in spite of the fact that she is attracted to him, just as he is to her. Hoping to win her back, the novelist looks to change his ways, but can he truly give up his playboy antics?

16. My Favorite Brunette:
Ronnie Jackson (Bob Hope), a baby photographer who wants to be a private eye, is sitting on death row in San Quentin awaiting his execution for a murder he didn't commit. Given an opportunity to tell his story to the press, Jackson recounts how he came to his current situation. While keeping an eye on the private investigator's office next door, a mysterious woman mistakes him for the real private eye and hires him to track down her missing uncle. Tracking the woman to a private sanatorium run by some sinister people, the investigation turns for the worst for Jackson when he is framed for the murder of a geologist.

17. My Man Godfrey:
Irene Bullock (Carole Lombard) is a young heiress from a family of idly rich eccentrics who finds herself at the city dump due to a scavenger hunt. Once there she meets Godfrey (William Powell), a hobo who resides at the dump along with his fellow derelicts. Inspired by her meeting with Godfrey, Bullock brings him home and installs him as the family's new butler. While Godfrey finds himself surrounded by a family of lunatics, he sees them as kind people with a need for some direction. Complications arise for the new butler when the young heiress finds herself falling in love with him and issues from his past come to light.

18. Pot O'Gold:
When a very young Jimmy Stewart's music store fails, he goes to the big city to help his uncle run his factory. Jimmy gets involved with the musicians next to the factory. It's a Hatfield/McCoy feud between the uncle and the neighbors. Since Jimmy Stewart is in love with neighbor, Paulette Goddard, he has to bring the two families together.

19. Road to Bali:
Stars Bing Crosby and Bob Hope team up again for their sixth adventure together, this time as two American vaudevillians performing in Australia. When the prospects of a double shotgun wedding loams on the horizon, our pair quickly sign up as deep sea divers and head off two Bali. Our boys meet and both fall in love with the same girl, Princess Lalah (Dorothy Lamour), and when scoundrels decide to usurp her throne, the boys lend a hand in helping out.

20. Smart Alecks:
The East Side Kids are in need of some new baseball uniforms so they go to work for one of their former members. While working, Danny (Bobby Jordan) helps in the arrest of a criminal and receives $200 in reward money. Looking to surprise the gang by using the money to buy the uniforms, Danny is surprised when leader Muggs (Leo Gorcey) makes him hand over the money and then kicks him out of the gang. After Danny is severely beaten by the escaped criminal and faces a serious operation to save his life, the East Side Kids decide to do the right thing to help their friend.

21. Time of Your Life, The:
The movie version of William Saroyan's Pulitzer prize winning play about the various characters who populate Nick's Saloon, Restaurant and Entertainment Palace, which is actually a waterfront dive.

22. Town Went Wild, The:
Two feuding neighbors are shocked to find their respective son and daughter has fallen in love and they wish to get married. In spite of their father's objections, the wedding plans proceed but when it comes time for getting the marriage license, a problem occurs. It comes to light that there may have been a mix-up at the hospital and the neighbors may have gone home with the wrong babies, making the engaged couple actually brother and sister.

23. Wife and Auto Trouble (Silent):
This silent comedy classic from Mack Sennett has William Collier Sr. as a hen-pecked husband who has to deal with a domineering wife as well as having his mother-in-law and brother-in-law living with him. When he takes the family car out for a ride as a treat for his stenographer, the family believes the car has been stolen. With the police and his family on his trail, the man desperately tries to get the car back home without being caught by either party.
